On Monday, Dec. 1, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) will offer a free webinar discussing the “No Tax on Overtime” guidance published Nov. 21 by the IRS.
The webinar will cover key points from IRS Notice 2025-69, which provides guidance for employees to deduct qualified overtime compensation from federally taxable income starting in 2025.
As GFOA noted in its recent Member Alert, “This new, temporary deduction will have significant implications for government finance officers as governmental entities are one of our nation’s largest employers and adhere to a combination of federal, state and local regulations on overtime pay.”
The webinar is scheduled for Dec. 1 from 3 to 4 p.m. Finance officers and other local government personnel who feel they would benefit from this free training opportunity are encouraged to register and attend.
