Tab/Accordion Items

Q: I need to see the financial indicators of concern (FPICs) before I finalize my auditor communication and/or management letter. LOGOS will not let me proceed to the next screen if I select “yes” when asked if I have a management representation letter.

A: Select “no” for the questions about issuing letters. This will allow you to proceed to the performance indicators tab and see if there are any FPICs. After this, please complete your letter, go back to the TD info from the auditor screen, select “yes” for the management letter question, and upload your audit. Make sure you do not advance to the summary screen and submit the audit until you have gone back and uploaded your letter(s).

Q: We would like the finance officer or another member of unit staff to upload the Data Input Report (DIR).

A: If a finance officer or other unit staff member would like write access to complete their own DIR, please complete this form and LGC staff will provide them access: NC LOGOS User Access Request Form for Governmental Units.

Q: Why is there a delay from when we submit the audited financial statements through the LGC File Transfer Portal to when we can submit the DIR?

A: This year, LGC staff must manually upload the financial statements into LOGOS and import the audit submission date to get our performance indicators. This creates a lag of a day or two before you can submit the DIR. Please note that the FPIC date will be based on the date you uploaded the audited financial statements, so you will not receive an FPIC for this if you upload your audit by the due date but cannot submit the DIR until after the due date. Starting next year, audited financial statements will be submitted through LOGOS, so this will not be an issue.

Audit firms, and in the future, finance officers, have the ability to enter the entire DIR up to the submission tab. Once the financial statements are updated, the only action required would then be to log in, go to the summary tab, and hit submit. This only takes a minute. You can have 95% of the work done before we import the financial statements.

Q: I submitted my audited financial statements and need to change something. I have not received an ARC yet.

A: Reupload them to the file transfer portal. No other action is required.

Q: I submitted my DIR or communication letters and need to change something. I have not received an ARC yet.

A: If you have submitted your DIR or a communication letter in LOGOS and you need to make a change, and you are unable to check it out to make a change, please email LGCAuditReview@nctreasurer.com. Once LGC staff has started the review process, you cannot make changes to LOGOS files unless we release them to you.

Q: What does the release button on the LOGOS unit information tab do?

A: It will allow you to release a DIR you have checked out to yourself. Only one staff member can have a DIR checked out at a time. If you need someone else to enter some information, you will need to release it so they can check it out and enter their portion. The release button does not release it to LGC staff for review. To submit the audit for LGC staff review, you need to enter information all of the way up to the summary tab and check the box to submit.

Q: How will I know once the audit review is complete? Does LOGOS send an email?

A: Yes, you will receive a “review complete” email from our system just like last year.

Q: I’ve requested access to a unit’s Audit Module, but I’ve been told that access cannot be granted.

A: We cannot grant access until we have an approved audit contract on file. Please confirm that you have submitted a contract and that it has been approved by LGC staff. If you have not submitted an audit contract, please submit one through the LGC File Transfer Portal. Once your contract is approved, you will be granted access to LOGOS and may begin to work on the DIR. Please allow two days for this process. If, after two days, you are still unable to access the unit’s Audit Module through LOGOS, please email LOGOS@nctreasurer.com

If you have an approved contract on file and are still running into this issue, please email LOGOS@nctreasurer.com. Please make sure you include the audit firm’s name, the unit’s name, and the email address of the individual (or individuals) who are attempting to access the unit’s Audit Module.

Q: When I update a finance officer in LOGOS, the Data Input Report information screen still shows the incorrect finance officer information. What do I need to do to fix it?

A: This is a known programming limitation of the LOGOS Audit Module and cannot be changed at this time. If the current finance officer is wrong, please submit updated information via the Finance Officer Update form within the LGC File Transfer Portal. Even after you do this, the finance officer information will remain incorrect in the submitted Data Input Report (i.e., the “Finance Officer at Fiscal Year End” will remain the same even if the current finance officer is correctly updated). It will only be updated in future reports. After submitting the new information through the Finance Officer Update form, there is no need to take any additional action or contact LGC staff.

Q: I have an issue that is not covered in this FAQ. Who do I contact?

A: For any LOGOS access issues, account issues, forgotten passwords, or other LOGOS login related issues, please contact LOGOS@nctreasurer.com. For questions about audit data entry, such as an input error you are unable to resolve, please contact LGCAuditReview@nctreasurer.com.
