Financial Literacy High School Program
About the Program:
- One student per semester (Fall, Spring, Summer), age 16-18
- Must be enrolled in school or, for a summer internship, recently graduated
- Must apply for the role: resume, transcript and cover letter on why you want to be involved
- Minimum of 5 hours per week in the office or working remotely on financial literacy assignments
Program:
- Learn from financial leaders within the department about types of jobs and roles available: scheduled time with division leaders to shadow and learn about roles
- Work on project to launch financial literacy clubs in schools statewide
- Take Finance Friday ideas/topic and create an elementary school program for financial literacy
- Spend one day shadowing at Fidelity Investments in Research Triangle Park to learn about their organization
Benefits:
- Education scholarship upon completion of internship. $500
